Best panoramic lenses for Canon EOS 50D?

Monday Aug 17, 2009

What is the best panoramic lense for Canon EOS 50D?? And what are we looking at in terms of prices? Any ideas or suggestions?

yes, for the 50D, the 10-22 is the best! But, I bought one for my 30D, and the last 4 DSLR’s I bought were Full Frame. So keep in mind you’ll want to upgrade! If you really, really like taking pictures! And the 10-22 EF-S won’t work then!

Mere Mortal:

Panorama is defined by format not lens.

You may mean to say "Wide Angle"?

Two excellent superwides for the Canon are the:

EF 17-40mm f/4L USM http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=148&modelid=8940
EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=151&modelid=15670

(If you happen to be shooting APS-C, I think the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 might be the widest.)
